We traveled recently to Mississippi to get some rc aerial video of the flooding damage for The Daily. Our hearts really go out to the many victims of the recent flooding. We met so many great people while in Mississppi. Sadly, this is just one of the many heartbreaking stories we heard there. We think that this short piece shows just how vital new RC aerial video imaging technology can be to public safety. RC helicopters can easily get high quality, low-alititude, shots of the effects natural disasters. These images can help public safety officers gain valuable information while staying clear of the danger zone. Helivideo is proud to be on the forefront of this new rc aerial video technology.

The show’s concept is all about putting cars to their paces on the winding wonder, Mary Hills Loop Road. The HeliVideo crew got a chance to show what an RC helicam can bring to a project like this. We shot some fantastic close-in rc aerials, panning over, following behind and coming head on as the cars wound their way around the loop. Look for the show on Discovery HD!

Above is a little rough cut of some of the work we did on a commercial for the new JW Marriott Resort in San Antonio. We used our RC helicopter aerial video system to get in close to the golfers on the course, bikers on the trail, the beautiful pool and grounds of this location. It was a nice example of how low-altitude aerials can bring anew perspective to video projects. Below is a look at the finished commercial:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ILGA_PJp-m4 We had the amazing experience of working with the CBS 48 Hours crew to bring this tragic, but also heroic, tale to life with a little rc aerial cinematography. It was a privilege for us to add some rc aerial shots of the railway and the fields in the opening dream sequence. Take a look.

The HeliVideo team was on site at the latest Nike Cross Nationals to get an aerial view of the action. The helicam is perfectly suited to this kind of work. With our rc aerial video platform, we can get an intimate overhead view of all the blood, sweat, tears, guts and glory that these kids pour into their sport.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=CTGC5Ot23KU The HeliVideo team was called in to do the aerial rc cinematography for Mark Pellington’s new project, “I Melt With You.” It’s a dark drama about 4 men grappling with the realities of middle age and their life choices. Our specific role was to capture the dramatic, plunging beauty of the California coastline. Our RC aerial platforms allowed us to get a new look of the dizzying cliffs overlooking the ocean. We also had a lot of fun shooting a driving scene down gorgeous Loop 1.
