We spent a couple of days with the folks at Zondervan shooting rc aerials for their , “The Story” web campaign. This is a great example of how rc video can achieve the shots that might have been difficult or prohibitively expensive for cranes or full sized helicopters. It was a pleasure to be able to lend a new view to this project through rc aerial cinematography.

What an amazing ride this commercial shoot was. Alex and Steffan from Unexpected created a thing of beauty with this piece. The Helivideo team was thrilled to have a part to play in bringing their vision to life. Take a look at the “behind the scenes” video above to see all the hard work that went into this commercial, including Helivideo’s RC aerial filming. Then have a look at the finished piece.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ez2jtuxifbw&feature=player_embedded Here’s a look at the final product of a commercial shoot that we just did in Texas with the folks from Mahindra. They were looking for a way to get some plates for their graphics team that would show the tractor doing it’s job and that final sweeping overhead shot of the field. It would have been tough for a full help to get in that close safely, not to mention the expense, so it was a great fit for Helivideo. We provided the rc aerial video, they provided the hardworking tractors! Thanks, Locke Bryan Productions for bringing us in on this fun project.

What’s better than spending the day at Six Flags? Getting paid to do it! We had a lot of fun on this commercial shoot. This is a perfect example of the beauty of low-altitude RC aerials. We were able to get in tight and really give the viewer that up-close, stomach-churning look at all the twists and turns of a roller coaster experience. We’ve been able to do a few of these fun theme park shoots, and every time we sure enjoy the ride!
